Friday night was really cold here and as I got ready to attend our town's First Friday, I realized that my winter coat from last year was too thin and too short to keep me any form of warm at all. I don't even know how I survived last winter here which was one of the coldest in years. It made me daydream of having a vintage plaid coat that was warm but also comfortable to wear. Now for the good news! Today was the first morning I thought I would see if the train conductor from the Park I had been walking in had given correct info by telling my husband that the park gates would be open every day from 10 AM to 4PM. I saw a man and woman approaching the entrance when I pulled up in my car and she was wearing walking shoes, so I thought that it looked promising. Lo and behold, when I approached the entrance I was greeted by a sheet of paper with the hand scrawled words:

It's cold here and everyone is sick. Those pretty coats cheered me up, though. Enjoy your walks.
ReplyDeleteWhatever you do.... keep it just to walking!! I would hate to see what would happen if you decided to start jogging!! You think that "conductor" is hiding in the trees?? Waiting to hop down on the first person that is disobeying the custom-made sign?? LOL...
