The Beauty of a Winter Tree

I have always loved the beautiful silhouette of a winter tree. Trees in all the different seasons even when they are stripped of their colorful foliage, have a still, quiet charm about them. I know that winter tree shapes have been a trend for several years now, and I don't really think that it will ever end. At least not for me:)

  2. I have heard that you can tell the real beauty of a garden by its bones in the winter. I too love bare winter trees with all their gnarls and fingers. You can see what life has done to them as they have grown. Very interesting. Great choices you picked to illustrate your point!

  3. Those are lovely images of winter trees - I'm loving them. I like to see the trees covered in snow, I took some photos of the ones on the bank behind our house a couple of years ago as they looked so great.

    Happy New Year.
