Making the byhand.me spotlight got my creative juices flowing, so I made a collage for a wall in my living room that was bare. I used scrapbook paper I had and a piece of foam board along with modge podge and put this together with the words, "we are only passing through"
After gluing the shapes on the foam board, I coated the whole thing with modge podge which had some brown acrylic paint added to it to give it an aged look.
I love those little trailers. Aubrey wants to get one and travel the road playing gigs while I shop for "junk"! If only we didn't have 2 jobs, 2 dogs, 2 cars, a truck, and a house!
ReplyDeleteI daydream, way too often, about the day when my husband is retired from the military, and our kids are all grown up and moved away, and we'll have a travel trailer or some sort, and we'll get to go on vacations to any little place, whenever we want. Its a lifetime away, I know, and- I'm nowhere near being ready to live that life, but... someday.
ReplyDeleteVery creative! We are only passing through; that's important to remember. And the photo at the top of your blog is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI love the airstream too! There was a great airstream at a big music festival we used to go to in Illinois that sold the most delicious vegetarian quesadillas with guacamole, rice and beans, and that is when I fell in love with the silver sweeties!
