Our Pollyanna has to be handmade and the supplies can't cost much. We have been doing this fir about 15 years. At times it is stressful with all of the last minute projects(I have 4 kids) but we have a lot laughs when we exchange on Christmas eve! My family is still young, my oldest is only 3, so things haven't really "stuck" yet. Something that we're going to do this year, is make pretend reindeer food to sprinkle outside the night before Christmas, that way rudolph knows where to land. Baking Christmas cookies, of course. This year I'm going to attempt to wrap all of our Christmas presents in handmade wrapping paper. I think that if I can pull it off, that might be a really fun tradition, that the kids can get involved with every year. We'll see!!Tia Colleenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07055062627149820244noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7289452231827948384.post-27903016305312817392009-11-18T15:06:04.430-08:002009-11-18T15:06:04.430-08:00What great give-away goodies!

We all get together for dinner at one families house... disperse for our Christmas Eve services at our home churches... and then gather again at another families house for dessert and presents! Though the years as a kid were a blast running around with my cousins, the past year (and this year coming up) will mean a lot because my grandma has developed Alzheimers--which is quickly progressing. This disease makes you put into perspective the importance of family... and I hope that as our families change and grow, we can still continue our tradition as long as possible and create many more years of memories!!Devonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16284466678871353733noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7289452231827948384.post-43041506977845539042009-11-18T14:27:52.260-08:002009-11-18T14:27:52.260-08:00A small yet a meaningful tradition that my husband...A small yet a meaningful tradition that my husband and I have. When we got married 8 1/2 years ago, a close friend of mine gave us a jar that said 'Blessings' on it. She gave us ideas of how to use it and we went with it and love that little jar! So, all year long we write down people, places, things, etc - that have been a blessing to us. We read them aloud together on Thanksgiving day. It's amazing how we can always remember the negative things that have happened to us over our lifetimes, but how easily we forget the positive things! We love this little tradition because it keeps us humble and helps us to remember all of the good things that happened to us all year long and it makes us feel so thankful to God! We keep all of the blessings each year (because bits of paper does not take up too much space), and once in awhile, we go through and read them all again to remind us that we have been blessed over the years despite the trials and tribulations! ~Jillian~Danny and Jillianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17901978992650107647noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7289452231827948384.post-40789540642866591442009-11-18T13:44:43.905-08:002009-11-18T13:44:43.905-08:00I just love your shop!
